I'm not sure if this is worthy of creating a new topic (but its not like we have a overflooding problem as of the now).. anyways, I know Pete Yorn did HWC with Liz and today was on his myspace and heard "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" -- and it sounds like it could be a direct response (maybe a couple years later) to FnR. All I could hear when listening to this was "I want a boyfriend... I want a boyfriend".

That's all really... the song itself actually has the same kind of sound as Fnr, too.

Am I crazy or do you think of Liz too?

Then again, she does make my world go round, so it could just be me.
wooden and alone
why can't liz partner up with pete instead of that guy. lol
i like pete yorn. strange condition is a neat song.
is i wanna be your boyfriend a remake or something
it reminds me of something, not fuck and run, but some other song. maybe it's been done before.

Yes, it HAS been done before-----The Ramones.

Isn't "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" the song Avril Lavigne was/is being sued over?

Oh well... damn.

Pete Yorn covering the Ramones?

That's pretty fantastic. Jason Mraz did the same thing with another Ramones tune... I dunno, I never got into the Ramones, but they seem pretty untouchable. They can get away with that simplicity with words but with Pete Yorn is seems kind of repetitive.
