This is really hard because there're different kinds of love songs and all sorts of implications but one I will always have a special thing for is Jewel's This Way (the track.). You Were Meant For Me, also, but there's something about This Way. Everything is perfect as it but everything is changing, we know everything changes, but we still dream we can stay this way. There's also Heather Nova's If I Saw You In A Movie, and a lot of the South album actually. I love that idea though that we find someone easier to love when they're on the screen and when they're in the limelight, but when they're just next to you, you don't even see it.

What about Heather's London Rain? That's so full of love.

That's a good one too. I love the way she sings "And where l'm home, curled in your arms, and I'm safe again.. I'll close my eyes and sleep, sleep, to the sound of London Rain...". The way her voice says London Rain that first time makes me shiver.


Oooh and Widescreen, I love the way the bridge soars.

Ooh and Glow-Stars. I also love that bridge where she's actually this mass of undesirable things but there's a layering to that song. Like the brittle world being soft inside. I also love that sense of perfection in reality. They're not under a stary sky, they're just stuck on the ceiling in a room. But it's perfect and life is short and it's a lovely song.
