Hey- I'm Craig. Listening to Liz since I heard her in '95, loved her that long. A 33 year old guy in an 11+ year relationship with lots of ups and downs. I tend to think I understand the feel of her lyrics, and have in some way applied the songs to my own life. Meanwhile, the first show I ever saw was at the Paradise- Brit metal trio Raven, along with locals Mace and Drifter, in '86. It's one of my favorite clubs. I've seen the Donnas there (once with the almighty Eyeliners), and I've seen Hot Tuna there. Much as I enjoyed Raven, it's a better kind of place for intimate shows. Which is why I've been looking forward to this for a while. The last time I saw Liz was at Avalon, right when the Liz Phair album came out, and I was blown away. I have recordings of acoustic shows from '95, but I can't imagine what the set tonight will be like. Please let me wonder... Last show I saw was Tom Jones (besides Adolf Satan, but I won't scare y'all off with the details), and he was incredible. Looking forward to Brian Wilson Smile (again), Paul McCartney (again), and Malevolent Creation (rare treat). Tonight's show, though, is about to make my summer. Just saw Devil's Rejects a couple of hours ago, and watched Simon and Garfunkel's dvd of 2003 tour (damn, why'd I blow that off). I think I've drank and smoked enough- time to sleep to wake up for to be Memerized. Liz'll tell it like it is. Thanks for understanding men, Liz. I've been feeling it for a while now...
