So I'm looking at the FMF's website and they list what they deem "feminist" artists and lo and behold there's our girl Liz! What's even cooler, they have a link to the Mesmerizing site.

FMF- Music
(She's listed under rock)

By the way, FMF is an AWESOME orginization for those of you who are interested.

Is it just me or is anybody else surprised to see so few feminist bands in this list?

Is it just me or is anyone else surprised that Liz would be on a list like this? Was it made before June of 2003?

I was thinking that too. They've put her under rock! And they've put Tori under pop. Shame on them,

I have never been to sure of the difference between Rock and Pop (they are both just too generic for me).
If they are using POP as in Popular than I think they are quite right... Tori is popular, Liz isn't.

(that should give this Topic some additional attention).

Oh I know exactly what you mean. But music is now more labeled by its sound rather than how it was released. In that term, I wouldn't say Tori was releasing music for high chart figures as bad as Liz is trying to.

It seems sales are more important to Liz than Tori. I just think Tori has a bigger fan following made more from her reputation as a live performer. For example; Someone who listens to the charts is much more likely to pick up a Liz album rather than a Tori one, just 'cause Tori's singles don't really do chart killings. Well the days where they did are over.

I hope I explained myself well enough.

Very eliquently...

We do unstand each other (for once) and seem to be making the same (or similar) points

However - I have never seen Liz on TV and very few shops even stock her (I did manage to find LP in HMV though - but I think that was in London)
I will have to bow to your knowledge of Liz, but also agree that LP is more mainstream than her previous albums.

Oh god, I know what you mean lol.

All shops stock Tori.

Maybe it means people buy all the Liz ones and not the Tori ones *rollseyes*
