I can't even remember how many times I've sat down & read Hollywood Babylon & still get just enthralled. Anger remains one of my true heroes.
An unsympathetic look about the most unsympathetic business there was/is...

I'm reading Juliana Hatfield's memoir. She's written it with a gritty realism about the crappy conditions a touring act have to endure in the club scene, which continually reminds us - as she is continually asking herself - why she would put up with the uncomfortableness of the venues and the rigmarole of occasionally having to be involved with the politics going on at a club, just to get minor things sorted out. This is continually juxtaposed - though not until a lot of questioning is done - with the idea that she was meant to be writing and performing music which either just feels right to her or there are special elements or moments in her life that she observes only are created by her doing so.
I've only read a few chapters so far, but I know it's probably going to be one of my favourite books of all time.

Right now I'm reading Zodiac by Robert Graysmith. It's really good and interesting. But that could just be me. For some reason I find serial killers fascinating. Not in like a creepy way, but more in a "what in God's name makes people do that?" kind of way.

My friend Lisa's blog posts. Well, its more like I watch her awesome karaoke vids. If the sound quality were clear you'd hear her wailing, you just gotta open your ears. Its actually a great lesson in listening and watching.
Seriously, watch her go, you might have to add her but she seriously is Butthead at best.

If you hate Oprah like I hate Oprah, then you'll LOVE the Ginger Man. Plot? Doesn't need one. Character development? Never heard of it. Verbs? Only when absolutely bloody necessary. If you're looking for drunk, impotent, and incoherent, then the Ginger Man is your bible.
