So Western culture finally takes a bold step forward with the advent of Speed Racer -- The Movie. Rumors that Liz will play the part of ChimChim have been wildly exaggerated. Personally, I'd like to see her dressed up as Speed Racer, or, at the VERY least, as Speed's slightly more masculine sister, Trixie. Sadly, I'm sure that her sleepy handlers (her "secret" agent) have done nothing to leverage Liz's deep philosophical understanding of the Mach V. She should be writing the fucking script, as far as I'm concerned. The "whack-offski" brothers will surely blow this one.

Speed Racer

Wow, the Wachowskis are doing it.

it ought to be pretty good. they did an excellent job with v for vendetta. and the matrix movies are not near as bad as everyone says they are. now if only go speed racer can get onto the soundtrack. that would be one hell of a killer move for liz and would surely show the wachowskis still have it.

The second two matrix films I could do without. I watch the first one occaisionally an always enjoy it.

(Agreed, especially the second. 13 minutes of the same action scene with one neo against a thousand smiths. Boring.)

eh. i liked it, but i certainly understand if one doesn't. that's how it goes with these tentpole movies a lot of the time.

NO! This will be the mother of all screw ups. Speed Racer is my all time favorite animated show. I have the complete collection on dvd. They'll break the first golden rule,the rule that the God awful New Adventures of Speed Racer broke-DON"T CHANGE THE MACH 5!!!! Everything else is secondary,but,don't mess with the car! I should be ecstatic.....I'm not.
