This is such a classic Liz Phair song. After she says "and I totaled my car", the riff she plays is reminscent of Jealousy and Supernova.
The lyrics are really good, as usual for that era of her career, I really like the mention of Henry (from Polyester Bride).
I've had this song for a while but haven't listened to it really until recently.

That's one of the first Liz Phair songs I ever heard. I downloaded it probably 1 or 2 years before I really got into Liz. I'm sure you all care, that's why I'm telling you

this song is just exquisite. but i can't listen to it without thinking of the series ending of six feet under, when they show all the deaths of the lead characters in the show. this brings me to tears, especially the last minute of orchestral climax.

Some of us are watching Six Feet Under for the first time these days, with great interest, on Bravo. Thanks for the spoiler. Sheesh.

sheesh yourself. if you're remotely a fan of the show, you know what the ending is. and it's not like i describe everything that happened in it. it was a show about dying. expect death. SHEESH.

The show was previously available only on a premium cable channel so it is only now getting its debut to the general public. A real fan wants to view the show WITHOUT knowing what is coming up. You blew it, and I'm surprised you can't admit that.

i just found a song that i've been looking for a very a long time. i first heard this masterpiece in a cellphone ad. it was for nokia, l'amour collection. the song haunted me so much, that i started actually staying up waiting for those short thirty seconds of lovely music. i've started threads in other forums asking if they know this song or who made it. after a whole year of searching (i think), i found it and i've been playing it since i did. that's a full 4 hours, i think.
