I read news this morning that Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. age 84 passed away yesterday.

He was the author of Cat's Cradle, Slaughterhouse Five, and Breakfast of Champions.

What some people may not realize is that his daughter was married to Geraldo Rivera for a time in the 1980s.

I need to go back and reread Slaughterhouse Five. It's about a man "unstuck in time" who keeps jumping around at various events in his life. I really can relate to that in my life right now.

Anyways, a great author that will be missed.

I'd say Slaughterhouse Five is more than just a novel about a man unstuck in time.

His works are excellent, I've deconstructed Slaughterhouse Five, so if anyone has read the novel and is interesting I could send them a copy of the analysis.

He did some great things, so I would say his time came appropriately.

Like I've said, I need to reread it, but I'll probably be interested in your analysis.

I read most of his books up to Breakfast of Champions, which was his latest circa 1976 when I was in college.

I read them because I wanted to, not because it was an English assignment or something.

Very excellent writer.
