Anyone hear the new Pete Yorn & Scarlett Johanssen?

I am not a big Pete Yorn fan...but i remember he worked w/ liz...and i'll be damned...this album...if ONLY it was he and Liz phair...instead of scarlett...
for real - it would be a saving grace for liz.

it's such a brilliant, breezey, effortless album. and i think the songs would have suited liz. she needs to do something LIKE this...not copy it...but something as cool and simple...it's even accessible...radio friendly, poppy...but in a really, really good, great way.

*sigh*

ugh, liz.

She's making money doing soundtracks and posing for fashion companies, making sure she can provide for her child. Lets hope once she has some savings tucked away she can get back to her real calling in life.

i don't want her to work with pete yorn though or do some album with duets with the guy writing the songs for her and providing her vocals in his songs. leave it to some bubblehead like scarlett

I could NOT agree more with you...but guess what...judging by the performance on that Pete Yorn record...the calibre of songs - compared to the work liz has given us since 1999...

Liz is capable of more...and if she's not - she should at least get involved with a decent project. Break Up SOOO could have been her.

But I have the songs and album. 14 about an extremely painful end to a relationship (one that needlessly lasted beyond reality in my hopeful, desperate, oh-so-twisted mind). I have always thought it would be cool to have the male and female from a relationship write about their perspective on the relationship.

Could give Liz the songs and let her write lyrics to the same music for her side of the story.

Dan, "feedback loop" mean anything to you? As to what Baud was referring to in particular, I am clueless, which I am loath to admit when such state arises, but, of course, it leads me to greater self-examination, or additional examination of the "thing-in-itself" of immediate concern, which serves to influence my level of clue-potential aptitude with the predictable result of reducing said future "clueless" episodes.

I hope--and think--I've indubitably cleared up the issue for all concerned, or those of other "concern" status pertaining to said thing-in-itself or thing-in-not-self matter. No need to applaud.
