After spending more than a year taking a break from music, Juliana Hatfield is set to lend her life experiences toward another album.
Love and Peace is slated for a Jan. 12 release through Hatfield's label Ye Olde Records, her publicist confirmed to Paste. Although the album may deviate further from her '90s grunge roots with a more acoustic-based sound, it is still expected to be characteristically autobiographical, especially with a song named after former Lemonheads bandmate Evan Dando.
Hatfield's initial announcement through Twitter comes more than a year after the release of When I Grow Up, which Hatfield once mused would be her last. "I'm not sure what I'm going to do. It's a weird feeling to not know," she said. "But I've got to the point where I'm not sure I want to make another album and I'm not sure if I ever want to tour again."
Hatfield first emerged as a solo artist through 1992's Hey Babe, though her popularity would peak later with a role in My So-Called Life and a contribution to the Reality Bites soundtrack, "Spin the Bottle."
