Who's got the video from her appearance at the TV studio? "Canada's MTV"

I saw it offered a couple times on ebay 5 years ago on a VHS with some Juliana Hatfield clips from the same program.

Probably October 20th 1998.

Performances or interview only

Yeah, I can't help you, either. Who else among us can't help this poor person?

I can tell you, though, that a computer friend of mine was able to watch the interview from inside the TV studio as it was being conducted (live, I think) and then got to meet with Liz afterward and tell her how much her music meant to him, etc. Apparently, during the interview they cut to a shot of Liz performing at Lilith Fair earlier that summer, and she was transfixed watching herself on the monitor as it was the first time she'd seen footage of herself playing live. Isn't that interesting?

Later that evening, me & said friend saw Liz play the Opera House in Toronto. I think it was October 20, 1998. Don't quote me on that. I still have the ticket stub somewhere. I was 19.

Those were the days.

Anybody here a member of Hatfield forum?

She's now out there promoting her new album after being away from mainstream press for several years.

Jeremy Engle...you are right indeed.
It was October 20th 1998 - i know because I was supposed to meet YOU and "Said Friend" that day in Toronto. The night before, I was on my way to see Liz Phair in Detroit - and I was in a horrific car accident on the way to the show which left me w/ a dislocated shoulder and a broken pelvis. I never made it to see Liz that year...and i was SOOO bummed over the fact that i missed the Much Music interview and Toronto show...
But - i was happy he got to meet her that day...i certainly lived vicariously through him when we talked about it after...
i eventually did end up meeting liz a few years later...and i had the chance to tell her the story about the ole broken pelvis! she signed my copy of guyville and questioned the fact that it was so crumpled...
it was crumpled because it was in my back pocket on the way to that October 19th show in Detroit - and it got all smashed right along with my pelvis.
but yeah...that was a wild and wonderful summer, regardless.
the magic of WCSE...

*sigh*

it was only 3 years since her last album. and in that time she's had an album with her band some girls that got press too.
wooden and alone
not the kind of press she got for how to walk away. good for juliana. although i doubt she'd ever recapture the glory of her nineties alt rock pin up girl days.

didn't she get a lot of press for in exile deo? that was her last "pop" album and i seem to remember it getting a good amount of mainstream press.

well, it's just bigger now. undoubtedly. how to walk away coincides with her memoir and the press is doubled. don't argue with me about juliana, NOOB!

There was, but Jack Ruby got to him before your request was posted.
