On www.cede.ch it says that the release date for the new album is on the seventh of october. can anybody confirm that?

I don't know, but i doubt it. That sounds too soon for me (especially considering we're just now hearing about it).

anything's possible i guess. she said was putting the finishing touches on it in one of the more recent interviews. maybe she'll just put it out without a lot of fuss and time spent in the studio trying to make it sound just right. she's had two years to work on it after all.

I'm sure it's going to be a beautie.....true Liz Phair style...even better .......the wait is worthwhile!

I agree. I just saw Liz in concert 2 weeks ago. She definitely would have mentioned it at all the shows if it were coming out so soon. I think you'll be lucky if you see it by Thanksgiving...and quite fortunate if Santa leaves it in your stocking.

Been wondering what the delay in a release announcement is all about too. Liz was supposed to be in the final recording stages back in August.
I admit to being somewhat concerned whether we're going to see this album anytime before 2009.
Also a little worried that ATO might not be happy with what Liz has turned in. She may be doing additional recording and production to improve upon the finished product.
All of this is of course is pure speculation on my part, along with an overactive imagination Maybe she has turned in an exceptional album and ATO is
waiting until after she finishes up the Guyville shows to make an announcement and a subsequent supporting tour. Or maybe I'm just full of shit! Anywhoo, I'm
getting a little impatient waiting on this thing.
