I know I already posted all my links once before, but they got deleted in one of the mass purges that have been occurring as of late. I was looking at my savefile account and I have 178 files that have been downloaded 3408 times, so they've obviously proven useful to some people. So, out of the kindness of my heart, for anyone, members and nonmembers alike...here they are again.

Hey coolchick,
You have a great collection of songs.
However, for the Catspaw songs, you missed one; Supernova.
It's is available for download here:

Wow...in the 5 hours since posting those links, an additional 125 songs have been downloaded.

You also need to put up "Baby It's Cold Outside" (if you can't get it elsewhere, I could send you my version, but it's not the best quality)
I think that anybody that has more Liz live/rarities should send them to Coolchick so she can add them to her account.

Which part was rude? The part where I said "umm...i think so" or the part where I said "by the way you're welcome"? Because when I said "I think so" I wasn't trying to be rude, I just stated that I think it's the correct version and that I listened to it and they sounded slightly different. And I said "by the way you're welcome" because I don't think it's rude to expect a thank you for sharing all my songs with people. I mean, if you just download them, I don't expect a thank you, but if you're going to reply back then I think a nice "thank you" should be in there somewhere. I don't think that that is too much to ask.
Hey Cherub, if it's not too much trouble for you, could you check and see if I have the right version of dead shark in the Juvenilia section (since I know you have the CD)? If not, could you send me the correct version and I'll upload it.

I will rip this and listen to it and if there are no scratches i will up it and post a link.
I've also got the wellesley and mt holyoke shows from 99 that are pretty decent quality, if anyone is interested
edit:
okay here is the west 54th show at 192 kbps collected into a rar file about 80 meg, can someone witha fast connection up this to savefile? if you download make sure to do a virus check, just in case.

I've downloaded this. None of the songs have names attached. Before I upload, I plan on attaching names to each of the tracks and adding in ID3 tags.
With the ID3 tags, the song information will display correctly in your iPod.
When was this show? I'd like to have the correct year in the ID3 tags as well (I'm a bit of a stickler for having correct ID3 tags in my music files).
Ok, here is the track list that I came up with:
- Mesmerizing
- Johnny Feelgood
- Never Said
- Support System
- whitechocolatespaceegg
- Uncle Alvarez
- 6' 1
- Dance of the Seven Veils
- Polyester Bride
- Supernova
- Divorce Song
- Perfect World
- Story: Glacier National Park
- Fuck and Run
- What Makes You Happy
Given the context of the track set, I would guess 1998 or 1999.

Oct 4 2007, 02:07 AM
Oct. 15, 1998. You'd be surprised how easy that was to find. You really would!
Check out "Dance of the Seven Veils" -- I haven't heard it in years, but I'm guessing it'd still be my all-time favorite version. Buddy Judge, who wasn't exactly the least obtrusive guitarist Liz ever had, actually improved on Liz's arrangement; the organ -- which was everywhere you didn't need it to be on that tour -- added a sweet, hilarious, church wedding touch; and Liz's singing was never stronger on a song of hers that could've actually benefited from a stronger voice (although the original falsetto is probably funnier). In other words: aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh.

tramp,
you interested in the wellesley or mt holyoke shows? They are both audience recordings but the wellesley show is quite good and the holyoke show is decent. the setlists are similar.

I'd be interested in either or both. Wellesley show sounds better.
I don't mind doing the fill in work. I guess that it's just my way of giving back. I figure that a lot of people have been patient with me here and helped me in my lacking education of Liz, so a little bit of grunt work on my side is no big woop.
I'm curious about how people would characterize the story about the baseball player at Glacier National Park, since it is not a song.
I'll also upload the M3U playlist to make it easier for people to quickly play all of the songs. I generally create that for homogenous collections, like albums or performances.
Thanks much for the initial upload. This is a really good set.
--
Edit: I am uploading right now to savefile.com
The files are all encoded at 192kbps constant bit rate.
I'll probably reencode with FAAC to 96kbps variable bit rate AAC for iPod owners. Fidelity should be comparable, but file sizes will be half or smaller. The AAC version will be a separate project. Downloaders will have their option of which version to snag.

the west 54th show is probably one of the better boots of her out there. West 54th was a PBS show that came on circa 95-2000. That's why the recording sounds so professional. The show that aired was cut down to about 30 or 40 minutes and was edited for content. thankfully some one leaked the show in it's entirety and uncensored.

Ok, here is my first cut:
http://www.savefile.com/projects/808545508I fucked up the ID3 tags for two of the songs: Polyester Bride and Dance of the Seven Veils. They came out as Polyester Bridge and Dance of the Seven Vails. Dont' worry, because I fixed the songs and reuploaded them.
I'd like someone to double check what I've done and make sure I didn't fuck anything else up. I think that I got it right.
Also, do a fact check on the stuff.
I haven't converted over to AAC yet.

Edits
The M3U file had the same misspellings for song titles. If you've picked up the M3U file, please redownload the updated one.
I changed the title of the project to include "192kbps CBR MP3". This will help to differentiate the other versions.

I've got the Wellesley 99 performance downloaded. I'll verify everything and upload it to savefile later today.
After I thought about it awhile, I thought "Maybe I actually have that somewhere." I did a search for "Wellesley" on my computer and turned up the track Firewalker on my computer that I believe that someone had made available. That was the only track that I had from the Wellesley concert.
Yesterday, I was pretty much focused on getting the songs checked and IDed, so I wasn't performing websearches to determine performance dates or other information about the Sessions at West 54th. As it turns out, JE provided the information and I thank him.
Total aggrregate size of Sessions at West 54th is 82 MB. Reencoding this to WMA or AAC will shrink the files considerably and may (your mileage may vary) not be noticeable to most listeners. For me with a mostly filled up 4GB Nano, size DOES matter and the smaller, the better.

Here is the savefile project for Liz Phair - 4-30-99 Wellesley College:
http://www.savefile.com/projects/808545998I did the following "cleanup" on these files:
- Made sure that all files indicated year of 1999
- Changed genre from "other" to "Rock & Roll"
- Added comments to give credit to robnashville
As with the other set, I added a M3U playlist file. Hope everyone enjoys!
Total aggregate size = 98.9 MB.

Long time lurker (well, I guess just about a year) and finally inspired to get into posting here thanks to this thread.
Thanks for all the new stuff. It reminded me that I needed to get the Joe's Pub and Philadelphia sucks. It just takes so long to individually click sometimes.
Anyway, I wanted to know if you all wanted me to upload this show-

There used to be a website with all kinds of shows up and I was going to tackle them one by one. It got shut down and this was all I got.
The quality isn't the best but we tend to be completeists (wc?). I can never bring myself to delete the audience cheering. Why is that?

That show looks interesting. It's prior to the concerts that she did in 2005 where she was pushing Somebody's Miracle (but not as hard as you would normally think), but it's after the WCSE concerts.
I know I would be interested.
By the way, the M4A-AAC compression for my nano seems to be partially paying off as I have freed up about 250-300 MB of space so far. I should be able to add Wellesley College and Sessions at 54th to my Nano, as well as some other recent music additions.
