Has anyone noticed that in EVERY single live peformance of 6'1", Liz says the -er part of "higher" quicker than on Exile? (in the line: you're like a vine that keeps climbing higher)
Even the old performances from 1994/1995, she does it too.

Yeah, that one and Never Said (same performance) are the best Liz vids on youtube.
She looks so cute behind the big ol' acoustic guitar and sounds great with the little lo-fi band.
BUT.. she does the thing in that one too!

There's no such thing as a low fi band.
Unless they had crap instruments connected to steroes rather than amps, that would be pretty low-fi.

I don't dislike it, I just wonder why she decided to do it once and has continued so consistently. Maybe it's easier to sing if done like that.

Well since the album version is outnumbered by the live numbers, maybe it's just when she recorded it that she accidently did it slow or something and intended it to be fast every other time.
I don't really think it has that much effect on the song and I'm sure she hasn't even noticed she's doing it and didn't do it before.

I think it is because she gets so gaspy; it is alot to say at once, and at a concert she is pushing her voice, so she says it faster to say air.
PS LY: I'll lo-fi YOUR band
