I fell in love with it again. It's the backing vocals on the line "When you're the sweetest cherry in an apple pie". Aside ITSOHV, She's only ever made her vocals like that in the last 20 minutes of "Crucify", when she does the backing WHY DO WE CRUCIFY OURSELVES?

I presume you mean seconds, and my favourite part is the layering of the vocals: "and right there for a minute, I knew you so well..."
LightYears
Mar 18 2006, 10:01 PM
yes, I mean seconds.
Though a 40 minute Crucify sounds hawt.
And yes, I love that bit too.
But the "when you're the sweetest cherry in an apple pie" makes me very happy indeed.

Maybe these are not the vocal lines you are talking about, but I will point out that Tori - who very rarely uses background vocalists - does in fact have a background vocalist on both of these songs, and more to the point, it is the same person on each of these (Nancy Shanks). Perhaps it is her voice that you are liking?

Nooo, the bit I'm talking about is def. Tori.
You can hear Nancy's bits and she has a different voice. Much softer and more airy. You can also listen to Nancy's voice on Nancy's song "Trials of the heart", on the "About last night" soundtrack.

there isn't a 40 minute version, but there is a very long live version of crucify that is pretty damn good.
