Just announced yesterday that Liz will be here on Oct 4. She's at First Ave., Prince's hangout from the early-mid '80s; it was the club in Purple Rain. Tickets are on sale this Sat. at, I think, 10am.

Any suggestions for buying on-line? Haven't done it before, assume it's a better bet than in-person.

Tickets go on sale in 5 hours and I'm going to buy 2. Don't know who to go with, b/c my one friend into Liz moved to the Bay area earlier this year. Might drag my brother along.

I've never taped a show, and am not interested. I want to be able to fully get into the performance and not worry about taping. As an aside to a comment made a while ago here about the potential "tapers," my brother in fact does have a neurological condition: multiple sclerosis. He's not in a wheelchair or that bad-off, but enough. I took no offense at the comment from ? That's my kind of humor and it was hilarious. Someone should use that in a movie.

Coincidentally, Alanis Morrisette is in town the same night. They're both in downtown Minneapolis, not even a quarter of a mile from each other.

Seriously considered going to this (though Cincy's a good 11.5 hours away from the Twin Cities), but decided to nix it. I'll just hit her up when she goes on tour for the new album.
