I haven't heard any of the new Aimee CD. I'm a big fan.
Has anyone heard it, or much of it? How is it?

it's pretty good. no electric guitars though. but she puts some synths. so good. i especially love the song "phoenix" and the bside, lullaby, makes me cry like a bitch.

it's actually brilliant. especially ballantines. suffice to say, it made me bother plugging back into aimee's music.

It's taken me a long time to get into this album. I finally did about 2-3 months ago, and now I'm totally in love with it and can't stop listening to it. I don't know why it took me so long. Before, I appreciated it, but I didn't love it. Now I appreciate it AND love it. Haha, I'm totally rambling. I'll stop now.

pretty much all of aimee mann's albums are growers. if you didn't like them at first, you'd grow up to love them. her lyrics are deep, sometimes too deep to seep into your consciousness but when they do, ugh so perfect. her melodies are also this way, complex and take its time. slowly but surely.
god, i need to listen to aimee once more.
