You guys may or may not like her. She sings pop/rock (with a little but of uniqueness), but not pop/rock like you would hear from Ashlee Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, or others of that sort. She plays amazing piano and she is an amazing singer.

I wouldn't call that amazing piano or amazing singing.

And what's so different about it that makes it unlike Ashlee and co? "493 1023" sounds so much like Hillary Duff could be singing it. Especially the typical bridge of a roll of piano chords, loud guitars and softer singing, that eventually echos out into that slower piano keys and bigger vocals.

It is pretty catchy though.

there haven't been many amazing piano players recently. aside from tori, but she's not recent. maybe ben folds, but he's been around a while too.

i think i saw vieanna tang in concert once. i wouldn't call her an amazing piano player though. i am talking on a level of tori amos and such. there are plenty of great piano players, but not as many that are amazing.

I'd say Charlotte Martin is on Tori's level. Charlotte's compositions are ambitious and large doubling up on Tori's bare chords.
