It has been hot. For most of this summer, we were above normal rainfall and below normal temperatures.

Now we have returned to hot and dry. I believe that it has been hotter up near where CC is.

And yes--fans don't help if all it does is zip along fairly hot air.

Unfortunately, I don't have any cool outside ambient air to wish northward towards CC, even if that could do any good. Hopefully there will be a cool front pass through sometime soon (it should get colder for you than it does for us).

We won't see "change of fall colors" until November or December, and then it won't be much of anything.

You aren't allowed to bring your own air conditioner? It is HOT here too, but not 90s hot, and not when it gets dark. We;ve got two fans going and it feels great, so it must be hot where you attend school. Sorry that you feel miserable. I try to take a cool shower before bed, that usually helps me.

I miss Daria too. It was only like my favorite show ever. *sigh* I just have to keep hoping that one day, possibly a decade (or more) from now it will come out on DVD or whatever format we will be watching by that time.

It was truly my favorite animated show ever!

Well, after feeling so great about getting awesome seats & arranging for a trip to Seattle, The Cure have POSTPONED their October tour till Next Year!!!! Color me bummed out. Oh. well, the tix are still good for the next go-round.
Lily Allen also cancelled & I was excited about that, too-just not my season, I guess.
At least I have Rilo Kiley & Tori to look forward to.

Sadly, she played a venue here really early in the year & I COULDN'T GO!!!!!!!!!!!! It was actually a better venue than where she was scheduled next month-oh, well, Smile, Lily, Smile!
At least I got to see my beloved Regina Spektor & Joss Stone both earlier this year!

Regina Spektor is coming to Omaha on October 5. I really really want to go, but I have a prior commitment. Damn it!

Oh well, I'll get to see Tori (for the first time and from the 7th row, no less) a little over a month later.

Hi CoolChick-If you can see Regina GO!!!!! She is Fabulous, Lovely, Amazing, & Wonderful & put on the best show I've seen this year & one of my fav shows ever!!!! She signed my record I sent backstage with little hearts & she is just so sweet!!!
I am seeing Tori in December-we will have to share reports! I have mot seen Ms. Amos is awhile so am VERY excited!
