Does anyone have a recommendation for buying the CD related things mentioned in the title for homemade music cd's.?

Just finished with 3 major DIY recording projects. I’ve never done given any stuff out other than to 1 or 2 people; now I want to have “packaging.”

I recorded 2 separate CD's of my own stuff and want to give them to some friends, etc.

I also have a 4-CD box set to pass around to a larger crowd that was done with my now deceased musical partner. I want to get that out to some people that I'm not personally close to or even know. I have a large document(s) that tell the story of our music/friendship, and the songs on it; it amounts to a weighty historical record of his life of sorts. So quality control for the latter is a bigger issue here. It goes far beyond a CD booklet—don’t know if there’s anything out there to package ALL of that together, but the CD stuff is a must.

I want to get CD cases, at least a case cover page with 2nd side of text; maybe even a little booklet. I haven’t even begun to think about labels to put on the CD’s themselves. I have Neanderthal level cover design and disc info page done. Looking for best deal on getting a small print job or buying and doing what I can myself. The order size will be tiny per item--not more than 25.

Advice, sources, suggestions?

Thanks.

you could probably do it yourself and it can look very professional, but it might cost a good bit. and you would more than likely need to be good with computers and those types of programs specifically. they can be found at circuit city, best buy, or places like that. but if the cost is an issue and you're not that well versed in the programs i'd try a small printing company or small cd pressing plant. the only idea that comes to mind at the moment would be to either check around the internet or call up a local small indie label and see where they do theirs. you should be able to find someone to do this for relatively cheap i would imagine.
