Just to prove WLY wrong and make him have to publicly admit he doesn't know what he's talking about, here's the SF show that I made from single separate tracks into one long track of the entire show. There are no gaps, there is no bits cut off between the tracks and listening to this single file will prove it. And if WLY still doesn't understand I suggest he seeks some kind of psychiatric therapy or does a course in audio engineering or at least learns what non-linear editing is.

Cheers everyone else.

To WLY: Just admit you're wrong and I'll drop this. You'll realise your error once you listen to the show. !#%#^@#%^!^ The question is then if you have the guts to admit it.

good sound quality on this one..... me likey.....

But the important question is: can you hear the gaps or is WLY full of shite? Like I said I made this out of individual tracks appending each to the other and WLY contends that there MUST be gaps because of the nature of the show being split into tracks. Any ideas where the gaps might be? And can you please confirm that WLY is wrong, because he doesn't have the guts to be a decent human being and admit he's wrong?

not a gap in the whole thing......so i guess that means WLY is full of shite biggrin.gif

Haven't tried this site before but the file was over 100meg so I thought I would try it. Tell me if there are issues with the download site as it is uncharted territory.

I wanted to go to that show. I met her back in Feb. but I was sick. What type of music does Marc do? I have never heard of him.

Baud, can you explain what is going on here?

It seems like a dispute about whether an entire show was recorded non-stop, hence as one continuous track. True?

Someone made avaiable a recording that was split into individual songs (not using "tracks" because that has another critical meaning in audio). True?

You're tryign to prove the entire show is recorded b/c you ahve it without any gaps. True?

I don't what non-linear recording is, but having doen a fair amount of home audio recording and even more p[rodcution, it's can be very easy to merge different "tracks"--as I undertand you to be using the term--without making apparent the "gap' that has been cut out. Gettign rid a "gap" sound is easy, but overall it depends on the types of sound recorded at issue about how easy it is to hide the lost space. Crowd noise easy to do, singing, not. I'll listen to your mp3 but I want to know what's up first.

If you've ever listened to a bootleg CD, you'll notice it's not one track but rather a set of tracks. WLY is a retard, I was trying to explain that there weren't any gaps just because the entire show had been cut into separate flac files by the person who recorded the entire show, but because WLY is like retarded and stuff he didn't seem to actually be able to even grasp the concept of what was being discussed.

Oh, non-linear is just analogue. I just used that as the terminology, I thought he may be thinking about it like someone was flipping a tape every track or something, he's kind of stupid. If you're familiar with the troll Lucky, he's basically on par with that in intellect.

And nah, nah, it's not like someone's tried to edit them together seamlessly with the aid of production tricks, it's just one person telling another that he doesn't know what he's talking about. I mean I put the tracks back together, I just add appended them to each file, I didn't perform some seamless production of fading from one recording to another. He's honestly just not actually very smart.

As you can see, he refused to admit that - if he actually eventually finally understood - that it was the whole show. I was just frustrated with him not having the balls to admit he didn't know what he was talking about, I wasn't seriously asking for someone else to confirm anything other than that WLY didn't have a clue.

You know you can hear conversation between Liz and the audience at times between where the individual tracks would change - which made it all the more ridiculous for me that WLY didn't admit/understand that he's seriously thick as a bunch of 2 by 4 planks of wood.

I'm just stating that I put it back together as the original recorder/uploader originally recorded them, they were flac files so no 2 second gap because it wasn't on a CD. I don't need verification that there's any question about it being an entire recording split into separate tracks, because that's what it was, I just thought I better upload it here as one track so that WLY wasn't still confused. But no doubt he's confused to this very day, and not just about this issue!
