Or maybe even Montreal. Merde, on l'aime ici! Or maybe it's just me.
Any news on if that postponed concert is EVER going to actually take place? How long can it possibly take to sort something like that out???
I'm holding on to my ticket but not my breath...

Where have you people been?

She's done Europe tours before.
She's been to a few places across Europe, in the uk they include London and Southampton.

I guess if she came to the UK, I'd go see her.

I'd love to see Liz live, in fact, it's something I've fantasized about for over a decade... Unfortunately, I live in Newfoundland, a place she'd never visit. dry.gif And I can't afford the kind of lifestyle that'd enable me to catch a flight to the States to see her. This is a problem that has plagued me for the better part of my life... I LIVE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! mad.gif Oh well, what can one do...? I guess I'll just have to hope and pray for a miracle... rolleyes.gif

...maybe I'll be in the right place at the right time. (just in case, I'll be in England during the last week of August) wink.gif

I was born in St. John's, too many years ago, to an American serviceman and a native mom who grew up in Torbay, but I left at age six months. Haven't been back for so long that I can barely remember it. I love online sites about the place, especially the photos of fishing villages and the seacoast. I even indulge a nostalgic affection for the band Great Big Sea. To me Newfoundland is a place of fantasy. In a perfect world Liz would go there just to play for you.

...Too bad we don't live in a perfect world! HOLY CRAP!!! I think I'd have a stroke if I learned Liz was commin' to Newfoundland (shock and awe). Oh well, just keep on dreamin' there buddy... you just keep on dreamin'... cool.gif

I find it fascinating to find out you were originally from here. It's funny, but we Newfs are spread all over the friggin' planet. You could find us anywhere... It's part of the culture, I guess. All the "opportunities" out there in life are on the mainland, so most people leave (myself included). I moved to Halifax for a few years to study Massage Therapy (something you couldn't do here, at the time), but I moved back here in 2003 for various reasons. I'd love to do more traveling though. It's just so bloody expensive! dry.gif

...Sometimes I hate money. mad.gif

...Of course, I'd probably feel differently if I had some. rolleyes.gif

My friend went to a tori amos concert, and she was in the front row, and i told her "Throw your bra onstage, and say I LOVE YOU TORI!!". She went to the show and did it, it was so funny but tori didnt notice it. So my friend was bra-less for the rest of the night!. lol.

I'd also love to see her in concert. I've been to young to really go to concerts before now, I just turned 16 last month. Ugh. I live in Florida, I doubt she'd come here...

I heard she was at Lolapalooza last year though?
trampolinefromspace
I became a fan on 11/12/2005, just a little less than two weeks after she played in Austin.

I know the date, because I ordered some albums off of overstock.com on that date. All of my downloads had 11/13/2005 on them, but they all pretty much became obsolete when I bought all of the albums.

Nobody seems to know what's going on with Liz.

I'm hoping that I did not just barely miss my last chance... unsure.gif sad.gif sad.gif

Here's the latest bit of Liz news that I've heard: Liz was in Los Angeles in November duetting with Minnie Driver at an Oxfam benefit. I know...it's earth shattering news, isn't it?

Sorry if this is old news, I just found out about it today.

And keep on posting. I remember some posts about a month ago.

And Omigosh Britt is a cool member name.

Yes it was something.

There's a note about it on the Mesmerizing headlines page.

Scroll down below the pictures of Liz from that event and look at the previous news item.

coolchick, you should have been listed as well. I should ask Ken Lee to add your handle to that item.
trampolinefromspace
A bit of clarification on my previous post. I've never been in contact with Ken Lee. I actually wasn't aware that he had cited me for awhile. I only noticed the citation when I was google-ing my LP Forum member name and it came up.

That was quite a bit of a shock for me. Sure, I had seen google.com being logged into the board, but it's pretty easy to take your screen name and some keywords and easily find stuff that you may think is long buried.

Anyways, I thought that I'd pass along that bit of information.
