Liz talks about guyville, swingtown and the new album on elle.com
here is the interview.
i like what she says about her new music and how she uses "guyville-era liz" as a filter for the new songs. makes you think this is the real return to form everyone was expecting.
is Liz producing the album herself? from the interview it looks like she is, but never explicitly says it. does anyone know?

i know it's sad but yay!!!

like what she answers to the problem with the world question, i agree with her.
and funny what she says about somebody's miracle that there are alot of great songs but the production is not the best which is pretty much true/

Looking around on YouTube for some guitar-related stuff a few days ago, I came across a clip of Dino shilling for a music company by playing an acoustic guitar with the pickup they're trying to sell. Cool acoustic stuff playing. But I thought he was so lame with Liz. In particular, that show from NYC--Joe's supper club or something like that. The songs are so lifeless re: the guitar playing. Very much lacking in oomph! I don't get why she'd want that--he barely played any lead; not very complicated lead at --and what he did on rhythm could be done by almost anyone that's played for a little while. He seemed to be clueless about how to accompany someone as their lead guitarist on acoustic and make some rock songs rock even the tiniest bit on acoustic.

Anyway, he talked about who who's playing with now and has played with in the past, mentioning Liz in that list.
