GEez.. not only do the people of Phoenix get nice weather, but they ALSO get a special Liz Phair show?? We're up to our knees in snow up here in Ontario!!

I was so dissapointed! Liz only played for about 30 minutes and the crowd was lame. I think there were just a handful of her fans there. Of course it's always great to see her live... but it could have been so much better. Mix 96.9 sucks.

what did she play? wear? sound like?

i never even got my tickets in the mail and i paid 90 something dollars!

nevermind my parents haven't gotten the mail for two weeks. does anyone know how that works? no refunds?

I went as well and I am HUGE fan and it was the most sad night of my life. I left after Liz played because i was so diappointed by how long she played for. She was great while she was on though. Shoulda known it was going to be lame when it was hosted by Mix 96.9!

This was a strange deal. She played from about 8:15 to 8:45. Wore a jean skirt and some kind of red top. I didn't know what to expect because the ads for the show said Liz Phair with Vertical Horizon or Liz Phair and Vertical Horizon. Figured they'd split the time and I didn't know what order they'd be on. As it turns out she was a short opener. Sounded good but only played 7 tunes.

Someone yelled for Divorce Song early on and she said she wasn't going to do that one. Knew we were in trouble at that point. Always glad to see Liz again, but this wasn't well put together. Blame goes on MIX for misleading the fans. Wouldn't have shelled out $50 if I had known she was going to be a 30 min. opening act.

Hopefully she'll come back through this way and give us a proper show.
