Since Marcos brought this to everyone's attention in another thread, thanks a bunch by the way, and since it has been a LONG time since she has performed ANY kind of concert, I thought it might be appropriate to announce this in a seperate thread under Live Shows. Here's one link:

I wonder if she'll do the whole album plus the bonus tracks? Or just the original track listing? Either one would be great. I'm just curious which one she'll do.

Fuck I wish I could go and see it. She's never even been to Australia in her whole career.

If I could buy tickets online, I'd consider coming over actually.

Not only has she never performed Gunshy live, but there's a lot of other songs that haven't seen the light of day in 10-14 years: Shatter, Strange Loop, Canary, Dance of the Seven Veils, and Johnny Sunshine. Hopefully these shows will inspire Liz to reintroduce some of these songs back into her setlists when she starts touring again.
Also, Whip-smart has been criminally neglected on the last 2 tours- I'd eat my foot to hear her play Nashville or Shane.

Why is her signature electric guitar collecting dust? Enough with the full acoustic shows.
She was doing upwards of 9-10 EiG songs in her 2005 shows. This isn't THAT big a deal.

Seeing lots of tickets for this show on eBay this morning although the asking prices seem to hovering around $70-$75 per ticket or three times the original value. Also read on eBay that this show is a SOLO performance by Liz, no other musicians. I guess we'll have to wait and see on that one. Would be awesome though if it is just Liz and her guitar. Similar to her '95 solo electric tour. If it in fact just Liz, this would be an incredible show!

Oh god I hope someone records this and perhaps takes a mini-DV recorder with a goddam tripod. I don't think I can watch any more concerts shot on DV where the camera work is done by someone drunk or who has MS or something.

Tix go on sale for the Fillmore SF tomorrow at 10am - wow I feel so lucky she is playing here - I think Liz has always liked the Fillmore. But honestly people - am I the only one that thinks her last album had a lot of decent songs? Well written - rockin - and she only played ONE song off that album at the Fillmore last time. What was that about? Was she pissed off at Capitol? I dont' care - but please - Liz - please some new stuff too!

The bootlegs I've heard, she barely played any songs from SM. They are pretty rare live. Maybe they're a little too high for her to reach all the time?

Okay I've put a request up on dime's yahoo group??? including dates, etc. lets hope firstly that the moderators of the group approve it and then that someone does it. It's not impossible of course that there are already tapers ready to do the job, I just hope someone cams the damned thing with a tripod.
