There's been so many posts here lately about what stuff people are putting on their iPod that I decided to create a thread just for this topic.

Enjoy!

I think the Essential is probably best, Fub-I actually should get the CD version of that myself.
I think Ann still lives in Seattle-I've never met them, but a couple of my friends have & they always say how sweet the Wilson Sisters are & they are total rock icons.

Brass in Pocket
Talk of the Town
Kid
My City Was Gone
Never Do That
katefan4
Putting more Tori Amos on this afternoon-ADP in it's entirety plus most of "Tales of A Librarian" comp.
Note to Marci-I think the pictures of "Librarian" are my fav shots of her-I love how 40's & glam she looks.
katefan4
^Putting some Tori videos ("Crucify" & "Past the Mission") on. Also, putting Steely Dan on as we speak.
katefan4
Now I'm putting some classic Wire from "The Ideal Copy" on ipod-"Ahead" is one of my very fav songs ever...

ADP in it's entirety

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONGGGGGGGGGGGG

I love the librarian pictures, except one where she just looks kinda silly.

Pele, Scarlet, and Choirgirl all have my favorite artwork. The Pele and Scarlet art really creates a geographical setting for the songs, and those xray/whatever things for choirgirl really "REVEAL" her...

The album art for Venus is decent enough, but I have NO idea why she didn't use the pictures from the photoshoot in my sig. I really love the alien earth mother look she was rockin.

Little Earthquakes art is really not that interesting (where have I seen that box before...) and UTP art is ok.

With the beekeeper, I love some of the pictures that weren't used for the album art, such as these:

But while I love the album (aside from Ireland and Carsguitars), the Beekeeper's cover picture was HORRIBLE.

Posse art was ridiculous, but tons of fun. Same with SLG, although less silly.

PS Where did you get the Tori vids?

Yeah, those are some of my favorite pictures of her too. She looks so beautiful and glamorous. I especially like these:

I also like this one (it's not from the TOAL era, but I think she looks very 40's in this pic too)

^She just looks so amazing in the session!! Do you have that AP mag?? I'm going to look for that-that would be a nice one to display.

Sorry, kiddo, I just saw this.
I got them on itunes.
katefan4
Putting video for Cocteau Twins "Iceblink Luck" on.
Now adding Soft Cell at the BBC, too.
Also Psychedelic Furs' "Pretty in Pink".
I may add video for Cocteau Twins' "Carolyn's Fingers," too if time.
katefan4
Putting a bunch of The Slits on as I type-the original Peel Sessions plus "Revenge of the Killer Slits" EP.
wooden and alone
are they good
i always wanted to check them out
also wanted to check out au pairs, all those female fronted post punk bands.
katefan4
^I love them-I had the privilege of seeing them live at a small club here in town about a year & a half ago & they were just amazing. It was the most "punk" evening, too-Janel & I walked out of the club at about 2:00 am & saw two cabs get into a car wreck & it was just so freaky...
You would probably like them, esp. if you like the Banshees-they were very innovative. "Cut" is a classic album. I had/have a very hard time thinking a lot of 90's artists were that super original because it really harked back to the Banshees, Kate, the Slits, the Raincoats, X, etc.
wooden and alone
looks like i'm gonna be downloading some Slits.
katefan4
OMG! Found some Creatures vids on itunes!!! D'loading "Standing There" now.
katefan4
Christ, they have some strange stuff on itunes compared to what they don't have-like they have none of the classic Nina Hagen albums, BUT they do have this strange spoken word fairy tale album by her that I am d'loading now....
wooden and alone
don't pay for digital files!!!
that's crazy
haha kidding
go on
you itunes freak wink.gif

I'm sorry, honey-I only do things that way-other types of downloading bother me & to me it is kind've like stealing, so I just wouldn't do that.
