'Closer To You'.

Like 'Nashville', it takes the purity and essence of melodic splendor with a vulnerable emotional core and makes quite the perfect surreal dream--full of hope, intimacy, affection.

I love this song.

I second that, it's one of my favorites by far, and in my opinion it's one of the best songs I've ever heard from Liz since WCSE. Lyrically, it's great, and I love the acoustic, natural sound of it.

Interesting that you compare it to Nashville, I wouldn't think of that comparison. When I first heard it, I instantly thought "Perfect World"-simply because of the acoustic sound, Liz's tender voice, and it's rich sap.

It's a beautiful piece and I'm really glad they put it on the album, though I'm sad I never got to hear the new Can't Get Out..I think that could've replaced something else, not Count on My Love though-I don't mind that song all too much. Everything (between us) seems kind of dull to me, I haven't been able to listen to that one in full yet, it bores me. Lost Tonight is alright, but we could do without that one too.

"Closer to you" is the best.

after being really skeptical about SM, my favorite song on the album is Closer to You.

I'm kind of shocked that this almost wasn't on the record. How could they even question that?

i don't think this album has a "Nashville".
if you mean, prettiest, weirdest, coolest song - my vote would have to go to Everything Between Us.
but even that doesn't stand close to nashville.
