Underrated list:
Liz' new stuff and wcse
Monster-in-law
Sundays (or at their prime, did they get heaps of praise?

)
Red light fever!
Overrated list:
Allmusic.com's review of Sheryl's c'mon c'mon
Stratford-on-guy (sorry, lovers of the song but I just don't see why it's a masterpiece)
Million dollar baby
Madonna 2003 (with her last album the weakest reviews it got really was that it was 'average'. in reality, those reviewers were too scared to admit that it SUCKED BEYOND BELIEF).

huhhh. you don't like stratford on guy. hmmmmm. i think it's her best song, definitely my favorite. it's so layered. the vocals intertwine, there's the ringing sound in the chorus, the warped drum intro, the perfect poetic lyrics. beautiful song!!!
wcse is definitely underrated.
overrated would be alanis' jagged little pill. wtf?! yeah, hark the herald of angry chicks singing, liz did it better with exile in guyville.

in relation to Alanis.
Over-rated;
1. Jagged Little Pill
2. Under rug swept.
Underated;
1. Supposed former infatuation junkie.
2. MTV unplugged.
3. So-called chaos.

And Heather did it better than both of them. I mean, come on. What did Alanis and Liz really have to be angry about?

I take that back for Alanis.

Rejection, loneliness, stuck-in-a-rut.... basically the unwillingness to maintain a stable relationship. That's what shines through to me when listening to guyville.

lys, you're such a heather fan. you made a promise and you didn't fulfill it. i'm so mad.

Moreover, the one song that illustrates the theme of the album perfectly is Shatter.

Heather's a better artist, it's not my fault.
And Blair, do you have MSN? I'll send you some things.

no, i don't. i don't have enough friends to have msn. it's okay. i have a soulseek connection, who has a folder filled with rare heather stuff. and i will reap. haha.
i agree, redlight. shatter is definitely one of the highlights in eig. that song is perfect, from the emotional lyrics, the soothing yet stirring strumming and the feedback noises through out the song. lovely!

I think Bjork is overrated. I really can't stand her.
Charlotte Martin is very underrated, as was Vanessa Carlton and Michelle Branch's sophomore albums. Oh and Girls Room.

I shall have to disagree about Bjork. I think she's bloody marvellous.
Hotel Paper I'd say was very underrated and yeah, girls room is criminally underrated. It's one of the album's many shining moments!

If Since U Been Gone had never been a single then I'd love it longer. Ever since it blasted onto UK radio, I grew tired of it instantly.

I love Vanessa Carltons sophomore effort, never heard Branchs entire cd, just the singles. For some reason she started bugging me.

Hey, i can't help it! I bought her Greatest Hits because I'd heard great things, her voice really really bugged me and i just can't get into anything she's ever done.
except for "Oh So Quiet"
