I think that it's weird that in a class of women in which most of them are skinnier than I am, I have, like, the best body image in the class. I sit and listen to all these really skinny girls talk about how they struggle with their body and how they're always on a diet and how a few of them were anorexic, and I just think it's weird that the girls who are talking about this are the really skinny girls. I don't get it.

Why in a thread inspired by cherry queen haven't we heard from her?

so i have this big english test tomorrow which the stupid teacher told us about today.
and we can't take the books home. which have like all the definitions & stories in them that we are to be tested on.
so i was walking to her classroom after school and my friend saw me and she said: "where are you going?"
i told her i was going to go steal a lit. book (steal in this case meaning borrow w/out asking. i'm bringing it back tomorrow) from my teacher.
she was like OMG let me come, i'll distract her while you steal the book!!!!
so we went in & my friend starts talking to the teacher about some stupid play she saw and, in one liquid motion, i grab a book off a desk and casually walk out the door.
it was brilliant.

i have a random thing
my sister complains to me about this sore spot on her fingertip. she told me she pricked it with a needle and forgot to let it bleed and now it's sore. i told her to have it checked but she says that useless. and i call her a stupid bitch for it.
the next day she told me again about the fingertip acting out. and then she told me about who roger king is. the guy who died. he produced the game shows and shit and she asked me what he died from. i didn't know but she kept asking. i told her it was from a sore fingertip thing. we had a laugh but i hope she got what i wanted to get across. get it checked, biatch!!!

i got the last one of those guardisil shots the other day. (thank god)
and it was the same angry dude who gave me the last shot...and he stabbed me in the arm again! it hurts like hell and i can't move it around very well (holy shit that rhymed!! )

I just find the whole thing with Gardisil interesting. I mean, the government's pushing it really hard, and they really play up the fact that it can be given to girls as young as 13. What they don't tell you however, is that Gardisil protects against types of HPV that are caused by certain STDs. The thing that gets me is that girls as young as 13 wouldn't have to get the shots if the damn government would stop taking away funding for sex education that doesn't teach abstinence only (which isn't really sex education at all). Teach kids how to use condoms (and other types of birth control) and there would be less of a need for 13 year old girls to get Gardisil shots in the first place. It's like the government is saying to girls, "we don't want you having sex and we refuse to teach you about safe sex, but since a lot of girls do it anyway, you can just get this shot in lieu of learning something so immoral as real sex education."

(This isn't aimed at you CQ [I just want to make sure you know that], but your comment got me thinking about Gardisil and the backwards way it's been marketed and the message that it sends to people.)

I've been switching a lot of my songs to AAC and cranking down the bitrate to less than 100kbps so that I can fit more songs on mine. I also got a nano with a bigger harddrive.

That reminds me, I've got like 16 albums worth of Liz (lot's of bootlegs) and I still haven't added the most recent ones to my iPod.

Spring Break (March 2001) Grand Canyon (Arizona) at sunset. We've got other pictures of the grand canyon with snow on the ground.

The picture was taken with a Fuji Finepix camera, which was my first digital camera. We eventually gave the camera to our daughter.

I like the silhouette of the tree (probably an oak) against hues in the clouds.

I've used this same shot as a sig over at camp.

it's a lovely photograph, tramp...

it freaked me out!
i came home & my mom was like..you look really pale.

this makes me kinda happy because he's actually a really cool guy ... but it's also kinda awkward b/c we haven't spoken in like 4 months then on friday he was all "i'm actually acknowledging your presence" again and being nice and not totally avoiding me.. like this morning he walked with me to class .. so ya.
